Learning Through Games

An introduction to game play for ages 4-7

Participants will learn how to play some basic age-appropriate games. The objectives of the group may include learning to wait for a turn, knowing when it is your turn, sharing, simple problem-solving and strategizing. The group will adjust to your participant’s strengths and needs.  If your participant needs to learn to be a good loser, the focus will be on that skill. If someone needs to sit through a game, the group will start with some quick ones and gradually lengthen the time, in addition to making it fun for the individual.

This 4-week pilot course will be a way for participants to learn some new games and social skills as they have fun with each other.
