Teen Techies

Teen Techies is a class designed for teens and young adults (ages 16 - 21) to use interests in technology, computers, AV, and video games (including Minecraft) to engage in socialization and peer relationship development skills.

AutismUp’s innovative computer-based technology group allows participants to utilize their interest in Minecraft and technology to connect and socially engage with peers in a supported environment.  Skills and strategies for turn-taking, working collaboratively, and social problem solving will be targeted through activities. Participants should have the ability to work in small groups, an interest in Minecraft and various technology activities, and looking to connect with like-minded peers.

Ages: 16 - 21

Staffing: 5 : 1

Focus: Social Skills 

Criteria: Participants of all abilities / Open to the public

Goals: 1. Communicate requests calmly and share interests with peers

           2. Participate in pair / group challenges

           3. Respond to cues to maintain regulated state and ask for breaks, as needed

Duration: 24 weeks

Rate: $80/Monthly installments

         $480 / Full 6 month session

How to register:

  1. Complete a Family Profile using our online form.  This must be completed prior to registering for programs.  If you already have one on file, proceed to step 2.
  2. Complete an online Program Registration form here. *Our registration system allows for the addition of multiple participants on one profile and form.
  3. You will receive a an email confirmation upon completion of your registration.


  • A representative of AutismUp will contact you by phone if there are any issues with your registration.
  • To apply for a scholarship, please complete a Scholarship Request Form and send the first two pages of your most recent tax return to:  AutismUp, Attention: Program Office.
  • Installment billing is available to all families at no extra cost.  Contact to arrange.
  • Gift cards are available for purchase and redeemable towards the cost of any class, program, workshop, or special event.
