Support Coaches

Under the direction of the Education & Behavior Specialist, provides direct support to participants in programs that focus on skill development (social, self-regulation, physical and/or adaptive), for children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times. Support Counselors, Educational Specialists and Inclusion Coordinator at Summer Program at the YMCA

This program is available to all children with ASD between the ages of 4 and 16. Specialized instruction makes it possible for the campers to be fully included in regular camp activities. AutismUp hires professionals who specialize in working with children with ASD and other disabilities to support our campers alongside the YMCA staff.

Inclusion Coordinator must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special or Inclusive Education, in addition to, experience working with children with ASD.

Educational Specialists must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special or Inclusive Education, in addition to, experience working with children with ASD.

Support Counselors must be 16 or older, with a passion for working with children with different abilities.
