ROC Art Explore: Photography is an engaging and immersive photography class designed to connect students with Rochester’s vibrant visual arts scene. This class offers a unique blend of creative inspiration and technical exploration by combining hands-on photography experiences with the opportunity to interact directly with local photographers and community members. Participants will embark on visits to notable photography-focused venues such as the iconic Rochester skyline, historic buildings, and the Memorial Art Gallery. These excursions aim to ignite creativity and provide a deeper understanding of the diverse photographic styles and techniques within the community. In addition to these enriching community visits, students will use the inspiration gathered to develop their own photographic works. Through guided sessions in the classroom, they will experiment with various photographic methods—including composition, lighting, and editing—translating their experiences into personal photo projects.
