Dance Basics is designed for participants who are interested in learning foundational dance skills in a supportive, structured, and inclusive environment. Participants will receive direct instruction and hands-on guidance in basic dance movements, rhythm, coordination, body positioning, following choreography, and movement transitions. In addition to learning dance techniques, participants will develop skills related to balance, body awareness, motor planning, coordination, listening, following directions, memory, self-expression, confidence, and social interaction. Participants will practice individual movements, combinations, and simple choreographed routines while working at a pace appropriate for their individual skill level.

Through a combination of hands-on activities, digital tools, and AI-assisted technology, we’ll help bring your imagination to life while building confidence, creativity, communication, and self-expression. No experience is required—just bring your imagination. This instructor-led class teaches participants to design characters, build story worlds, and create their own comic book. They strengthen communication and digital skills while collaborating with mentors and peers. The program ends with a celebration and printed copies of each participant’s comic.
