This instructor-led class is a creative and hands-on class for young adults ages 11–17 designed to introduce participants to the basics of photography, visual storytelling, and self-expression. Participants learn beginner photography skills such as camera and smartphone use, framing, lighting, composition, editing basics, and creative techniques through interactive projects and guided activities. The class encourages communication, creativity, problem-solving, attention to detail, and self-confidence while promoting positive peer interaction and community engagement. Participants have opportunities to explore their interests, share their work, and build independence in a supportive and structured environment. Activities are adapted to support a variety of skill levels, learning styles, and individual support needs.
