How do I register for classes?
As a returning participant log into the AutismUp Participant Portal and complete all enrollment forms that are due prior to the start of the term. As a new participant complete the New Participant Interest Form. A Program Director will be in touch once form is complete to determine enrichment needs.
Payment Options
AutismUp accepts both Self-Direction and Private Pay options. Families are responsible for payment in full of any balance not covered by Self-Direction. Invoices will be sent out mid-term to families paying privately. Invoices will be sent directly to the F.I. agency that the family designates for those paying through Self-Direction. Please always ensure that the available budget can cover the balance due.
Financial Assistance
AutismUp allocates $25,000 annually to a general financial assistance fund that provides scholarships for classes and programs. We also partner with community organizations and funders to help extend access to programming for individuals and families within their organizations.
Due to increased demand, our 2026 scholarship funds have been fully allocated. The financial assistance fund is being reimagined for 2027. If you need support identifying or navigating other financial assistance options in the meantime, please contact your care coordinator.
Vacation: If a participant misses time due to vacation, we cannot give credits or make-up sessions.
Sick/Medical Issues: If a participant is sick, please stay home. If the illness lasts more than a week, contact us so we can understand how long the participant will be out.
Make-ups: A make-up class may be offered if AutismUp cancels, or on a case-by-case basis.
Drop Policy: If a participant needs to drop a class, please let us know as soon as possible. You can drop a class up until Saturday of middle of the term. Drops must be submitted by Saturday of the mid-term week. After that, the full class cost remains the family’s responsibility.
On-Site Requirements
All new participants are required to have a parent or caregiver remain on-site for the first 1–2 weeks to help ensure a smooth and supportive transition into programming. If a participant requires additional support, such as medical needs, behavioral support, or toileting assistance, we ask that a parent or caregiver remain on-site and may be asked to support class if necessary.
Code of Conduct
It is the policy of AutismUp to maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all participants, staff and visitors.
Video Surveillance
Program spaces are monitored by cameras for participant safety. While working at or visiting AutismUp you are authorizing AutismUp to record and use the recordings in any lawful manner deemed necessary.
Dress Code
Participants should wear weather appropriate clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required for all Sports & Fitness and Culinary classes.
Siblings in Classes
Many AutismUp programs are inclusive and open to siblings. Siblings will need to register to attend class.
Transportation
Families are responsible for providing their own transportation. AutismUp can provide transportation to offsite classes once already onsite for class.
