Registration for the Spring Term will begin on Wednesday March 13th for rollover families. Open registration will begin on Monday March 18th.

Spring Term will begin on Tuesday April 9th.

***We will not be holding classes on Monday April 8th due to the Solar Eclipse. The Spring Term will run from Tuesday 4/9-Monday 6/24.

If you are new to AutismUp or did not participate in the 2024 Winter Term please register here. Once you have submitted your registration someone will be in touch with you about the next steps in the process!

All About Anime
​All About Anime will explore the genre of Anime including the history, common features and writing and drawing characteristics. Participants will be able to share about their personal interests in Anime, create their own characters and writings. The facilitator will guide participants through the process and encourage collaboration.

Baking Time & More *NEW
Baking Time is a class for youth and young adults to introduce baking concepts, kitchen safety and more. Participants in this class will gain confidence and increase independence in the kitchen while learning to follow a recipe as they whip up delicious dishes together. Body-Mind Connections
Body-Mind Connections is a class designed to teach individuals how to identify their physical/body awareness and well-being as it relates to mindfulness, wellness, and overall health. Using methods such as self-awareness through journaling, meditation, vision boards, stress relief (stress balls, mindfulness jars, painting, etc.), music, breathing exercises, visualization, body scanning and setting intentions for self. Improving overall health and self-care, building confidence and relationships are just a few goals of Body-Mind Connections!

Create, Connect, Explore
Create, Connect, Explore is a class that offers individuals the opportunity to explore and build upon their creativity. Inspiration will be offered and gained from visiting with local artists and observing many different art forms. Participants will practice and create their own work in the fashion of the featured art form and can discuss the community art experience with peers and express their interest in expanding on their own art. Some community art opportunities will include pottery, sewing, welding and stained glass to name a few.

Creative Expressions is an interactive class that provides individuals the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic and creative mediums. Everyday STEM
Everyday STEM is an engaging and participant driven class in which individuals will engage in solving everyday challenges through the use of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Participants will have the opportunity to develop 21st century skills of thinking critically, being creative and communicating and collaborating with others. They will be invited to explore a variety of materials such as legos, copper tape, wires, circuit boards, simple tools and more. Participants will be exposed to different areas of science and get to meet and interact with professionals in the science and engineering field. They will be supported with skills such as learning about current issues, planning out solutions, building and testing. If you are interested in the science field, you enjoy hands-on experiences and conducting experiments, this is the class for you!

Through guided lesson plans and facilitation that focuses on individual skill levels we will use scenarios, peer feedback and teachable moments to increase safety awareness, home management skills and problem solving across the home setting (environment). My Place will also support short term and long term goal setting (as a way to plan for future independence and community living; with a focus on living options, safety, self-advocacy, budgeting and individual skill development).

Navigating Nature at EquiCenter is an exciting and interactive class that will allow individuals the opportunity to explore EquiCenter's 200-acre outdoor education facility to encourage healthier lifestyles. Activities are conducted indoors and outdoors and will include indoor gardening in the greenhouse, making maple syrup, creating nature crafts, and more. Lesson plans are designed to teach participants a variety of aspects including safety surrounding nature and animal life, and learning to identify the many experiences of nature. Building confidence, relationships, personal safety, nature awareness, and fitness are just a few goals of Navigating Nature!
