Consistency is the key to any parenting model, but especially when working with children with ASD. Parents are searching for professional help with proven techniques. They want to both learn and practice these skills which will not only increase their base of knowledge, but will elevate their confidence as parents. When parents are confident of their actions, they are more likely to practice them consistently and to model the behavioral control they want their children to learn. PEP works best when both parents attend the classes. Children are not permitted, we apologize for this inconvenience.

“The Parent Effectiveness Program” is a program designed by behavioral pediatrician and director of the Center for Applied Psychophysiology and Self-regulation (CAPS), Dr. Laurence Sugarman. This program is for parents who want to learn to apply Dr. Sugarman’s clinical techniques, from his practice at RIT, to their home based interaction with their child on the spectrum.
