Technology Manager
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday with an occasional weekend as needed
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Position Summary:
AutismUp is seeking a proactive and innovative Technology Manager to oversee and advance the organization’s technology strategy. This role is responsible for integrating and maintaining technology systems across all departments, ensuring data security, supporting staff, and driving efficiency through innovation. The Technology Manager will play a key role in simplifying data management, optimizing system use, and helping AutismUp deliver on its mission by ensuring technology is both effective and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
System Integration & Optimization
- Integrate and support primary technology systems across departments (finance, programs, marketing, development)
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies or barriers within current technologies
- Evaluate and recommend systems to improve workflows and simplify data management
Technology Planning & Innovation
- Lead on strategic planning for platforms
- Develop and maintain organizational dashboards to track key analytics and performance indicators
- Explore and pilot appropriate AI tools that improve staff productivity and support mission-driven tasks
Data Security & Compliance
- Ensure systems and networks are secure, compliant, and accessible
- Ensure compliance with PCI and data privacy standards along with supporting ongoing cybersecurity initiatives
- Safeguard sensitive information and maintain reliable internet access and IT infrastructure
Staff Training & Support
- Provide training and technical support to staff, ensuring efficient and secure system use
- Translate technical concepts into clear, practical solutions for non-technical users
- Collaborate across all departments to understand needs and deliver effective technology solutions.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of IT leadership experience (nonprofit or mission-driven organization preferred)
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, system administration, cybersecurity, and data privacy
- Experience with CRM, registration systems, Google Workspace, etc.
- Demonstrated success leading system integration projects and improving operational workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical staff
- Analytical, innovative, and solution-focused mindset
Employment Specialist
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: Full-time, flexible hours with some regular evenings and weekends
Pay Range: $24.00 -$27.00 per hour
Position Summary: Provides career development services for individuals with disabilities. This includes both adults and transition aged students. Services provided include, but are not limited to, vocational assessments, work readiness training, self-advocacy training, job exploration, work-based learning, exploration of post-secondary options, internship, career development and job coaching. The Employment Specialist will provide numerous customized support services with the goal of assisting individuals to perform to industry standards. The Employment Specialist will meet with employers, to develop and secure internships and additional opportunities within the business. Ensure that the needs of the business are being met as well as the overall satisfaction with the employee. The role of the Employment Specialist is twofold, supporting both the individual and the business(es).
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze information about participants through case records, interest inventories, interviews, and professional sources, to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personality characteristics for employment planning
- Conducts individual and group lessons covering a full range of job seeking and job performance skills
- Delivers employability skill curriculum in grouped or 1:1 settings
- Performs community-based work assessments of individuals’ vocational aptitudes
- May assist in developing resumes, completing applications, and developing interviewing skills
- May provide support during job interviews if needed and appropriate
- Provides on-going, person-centered support and counseling, catering to the unique needs of the individual.
- Monitor participants’ job performance and job-related skills; evaluate participants’ skills, set realistic goals, coach participants as they work toward employment related goals
- Completes all mandated documentation requirements as required by agency and funders
- May participate in intake/exit meetings for ACCES-VR participants
Qualifications: An associate degree or bachelor’s degree or combined experiential equivalent providing vocational services for individuals with disabilities. Experience providing ACCES-VR services preferred.
Program Coordinator
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: 35-40 hours per week, includes afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Pay Range: $21.00 -$23.00 per hour depending on education and experience
Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and supervisory roles supporting the
program areas at AutismUp. The Program Coordinator will maintain flexibility in meeting the needs of the AutismUp
Enrichment Programs, which consists of supporting staff, participants, and families.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in registration process as needed
- Supervises and schedules support staff and provides administrative support
- Backfills for programming and staffing gaps as needed and directed
- Acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned
- Assists Manager on Duty (MOD) quarterly trainings and as needed
- Assists in ensuring program and participant documentation is accurate, stored properly and accessible
- Teaches classes as scheduling allows or warrants and as directed
- Participates in the training, development, and onboarding process for team members
- Assists with quality equipment checklists and procures supplies
- Observes both virtual and in-person classes and provide feedback to staff members as needed
- Works with families as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years professional experience required
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Working with individuals with ASD or other disabilities
- Microsoft Office and basic database
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends

Program Assistant (Full Time)
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: Part-time, 15-25 hours per week with some regular evening and Saturday hours that may vary
Pay Range: $16.50 -$20.00 per hour depending on education and experience
Position Summary:
The Program Assistant provides direct support to participants in programs that focus on skill development (social, enrichment, independence, fitness, self-regulation, the arts) for children, teens, and adults in classroom and community settings. This role also designs, plans and leads regular programs and classes in the role of a lead teacher. The Program Assistant will substitute for Instructors and Support Staff in their absence, and fill in as assigned to perform administrative and support functions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting individual participants in achieving goals and objectives
- Responsible for the supervision and safety of program participants
- Supports the AutismUp Instructors and program objectives, particularly in regard to participants’ social development and behavioral management
- Completes progress notes / metrics and other necessary documentation by the end of shift
- Attends trainings and meetings as assigned
- Design, plan and lead regular programs and classes in the role of a lead instructor
- Occasionally leads classes on a rotational or substitute basis, following the lesson plan and managing the class in terms of participant oversight and support staff direction
- Completes all other duties as directed

- High School Diploma preferred; college experience in related field is helpful

Personal Fitness Instructor
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: Per Diem, 8-10 hours per week including some late afternoons, early evenings, and Saturdays with
opportunity to increase hours
Pay Range: $23.00 -$27.00 per hour depending on education and experience
Position Summary:
The Personal Fitness Instructor will facilitate and provide direct instruction in an individual fitness-based program.
Programs will focus on fitness related activities and are tailored specifically for each participant. The Personal Fitness
Instructor must be able to modify exercises based on participant needs as well as be able to motivate participants to
reach their individualized goals.
Responsibilities:
- Connect with each participant and/or family members to create an individualized fitness plan
- Completes the initial Personal Fitness Instructor Intake Form within 2 weeks of each participant’s first Personal Training class
- Coordinate and schedule individual training classes with participants and/or family members
- Completes class scheduling, preparation, cleaning procedures, family communication, and documentation associated withPersonal Training as part of the Personal Fitness Instructor responsibilities
- Demonstrate various exercises and routines
- Supervise participant’s exercise routines and assist them in utilizing the correct techniques to minimize injury and improve fitness
- Monitor individual goals, objectives, and progress of participant’s while providing families progress updates
- Responsible for the supervision and safety of program participants
- Communicate with Fitness Coordinator on participant’s progress
- Participates in AutismUp staff trainings and in-services as directed by the Program Manager
- Completes all required documentation in a timely manner
- Works closely with the Fitness Coordinator with ensuring the AutismUp Fitness Programs remain innovative both from equipment and support perspective
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor Degree preferred
- Related college degree, coursework or fitness certifications required
- 2+ years professional experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with ASD or other disabilities
- Experience/training in adaptive P.E. helpful
Support Coach II (PercUp Provisions and ScoopUp Creamery)
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: Per Diem, 8-16 hours per week with some regular evening and weekend hours that may vary
Pay Range: $15.50 -$17.87 per hour depending on education and experience
Position Summary:
The Support Coach II will provide direct support to participants in programs that focus on skill development in customer service, public interaction, and food service (as well as potentially social, enrichment, independence, fitness, self- regulation, the arts, physical and/or adaptive, etc.) for children, teens, and adults in classroom and community settings. The Support Coach II would support the Hospitality Workforce Development Manager in operations of the microbusinesses associated with AutismUp: PercUp (an on-site coffee shop) and ScoopUp (an ice cream truck).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting individual participants in achieving goals and objectives, promoting independence
- and confidence in participants
- Responsible for the supervision and safety of program participants, including setup, service, and breakdown of
- PercUp and ScoopUp operations
- Supports the AutismUp Instructors at PercUp and ScoopUp as well as potentially other program objectives,
- particularly regarding participants’ social development and behavioral management around customer service
- and team interactions
- Completes progress notes / metrics and other necessary documentation by the end of shift
- Attends trainings and meetings as assigned
- Follows all AutismUp’s policy and procedures
- Completes other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Currently attending high school, High School Diploma preferred; college experience in related field is helpful
- Experience working with individuals with ASD or other disabilities is preferred
- Enthusiastic and enjoys working with children, teens, and adults
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Clean driver’s license and ability to operate a large step van or willingness to learn required
Support Coach
Location: AutismUp at the Golisano Autism Center, Rochester, New York
Hours: 20 hours per week, includes afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Pay Range: $15.50 -$17.00 per hour depending on education and experience
Position Summary:
The Support Coach will provide direct support to participants in programs that focus on skill development
(social, enrichment, independence, fitness, self-regulation, the arts, physical and/or adaptive, etc.) for
children, teens, and adults in classroom and community settings.
