Autism Family Navigators provide information and help create connections to autism services within the Greater Rochester area. Family Navigators are autism parents themselves that truly appreciate the challenges unique to parenting a child with autism. Navigation support services are free.
Complete an online intake form so we may better assist you with appropriate information and materials at hand when we speak with you. Once completed, you'll receive an email confirmation with a link to schedule an appointment with a Family Navigator.
What we do:
The team of Family Navigators at AutismUp provide:
- Assistance navigating systems and accessing services available from the collaborative providers located in the community, and at the Golisano Autism Center
- Monthly meet-ups for parents, providing facilitated support virtually and in-person
- Education workshops and speakers virtually and in-person at AutismUp (located at the GAC)
- Individualized family information, resources and support
- Outreach and education to the community-at-large; contact us to collaborate at your event
- Autism focused training for businesses, schools and the community-at-large
- Specialized support for Spanish speakers
- Specialized support for the Rochester City School District

Golisano Autism Center (GAC) Family Navigator
The GAC Family Navigator works hand-in-hand with the navigation team to specifically provide:
- Assistance navigating systems, understanding services available from the collaborative providers located at the Golisano Autism Center, and making referrals to appropriate service providers
- Individualized family/peer information, resources and support
- Tours by appointment; call or email for an appointment

Family Navigator @ The Levine Autism Clinic
An AutismUp Family Navigator is located at The Levine Autism Clinic at The University of Rochester Medical Center, and provides:
- Assistance for families with general coordination of care for children
- Family advocacy, information, resources and support
- Liaison between medical staff and patients to facilitate most effective communication and care
- Assistance for families in understanding and selecting therapies, medications, specialties, and other options
