Someone You Should Know: Mothers behind AutismUp

By Doug Emblidge, The CW Rochester

Rochester, N.Y. — (WHAM) - It started about 15 years ago, with a few moms getting together for coffee, looking for help and support. They weren’t trying to change the world. But they did.

Now, as Autism Awareness Month ends, 13 WHAM’s Doug Emblidge sits down with some of the women who helped found AutismUp.

Sue Tharrett, Tracey Taylor, Chris Hilton, Sarah Milko, Gia Carroll, and Lisa Ponticello all have sons with autism. They reflect on how far they’ve come, and what’s next.
