Jeanne Ricigliano

Community Transition Director

Jeanne Ricigliano’s career began after her daughter Lisa was diagnosed with a disability. She became aware of the challenges of transition planning, how to manage the move from school to the adult service system and the importance of connecting with families who have similar experiences. Jeanne has over 30 years of experience working in partnership with students with disabilities, their families, schools and community providers and employers.

Her career has focused on assuring all stakeholders are provided with the information they need to assist in preparing for the complex and exciting transition from high school to college and career.

Jeanne has experience in teaching, training, transition planning, consulting, Person Centered Planning facilitation and training. She has developed programs in collaboration with community partners where gaps have been identified. These programs meet needs such as; after school respite, adult education and transition education.

Jeanne holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Roberts Wesleyan College and certification in Work Based Learning from Buffalo State College.
