Cooking Basics
Participants learn to build skills toward independence in healthy meal planning, reading and following a recipe; and kitchen safety. Participants will learn how to use these skills to make a healthy snack, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ages: 16+
Criteria: Participants of all abilities who can be independently safe in the kitchen, open to the public
Goals: Executive functioning, safety awareness, development of cooking skills
Outcomes: Increased confidence, social awareness, chopping, measuring, cutting, following a recipe, and following multi-step directions
