Creative Expressions

​Creative Expressions is an interactive class that provides individuals the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic and creative mediums. Lesson plans will incorporate a variety of projects including, but not limited to, the following areas: canvas art, mug design, tie dye art, t-shirt design, wood burning, home décor, sculpting, acrylic painting, paper art and model construction. Work alongside our instructors as they demonstrate and teach individuals throughout the entire process. Individuals will have the opportunity at the end of the Winter Term, to showcase their hard work with an art exhibition at the Golisano Autism Center!

Criteria: Participants of all abilities, open to the public

Goals: Expressing thoughts and feelings through Art and risk taking, relationship building, problem-solving, executive functioning skills

Outcomes: Confidence, creativity, social readiness, friendships/relationships
