Executive Functioning: Social Skills

In this interactive, hands-on class, you will strengthen the cognitive skills essential for successful social interactions. By exploring the context and meaning behind social behaviors, you’ll be empowered to make informed choices in your communication. Using evidence-based strategies, you will learn how to pause and reflect before responding, resist inappropriate social impulses, consider different perspectives, and manage your emotions during conversations. The class features role-plays and perspective-taking exercises, giving you practical opportunities to rehearse social skills, receive immediate feedback, and better understand others’ viewpoints. If you want to learn how to make and maintain friendships, as well as handle conflict and rejection, this class will equip you to navigate social situations effectively while staying true to yourself.
