AlphaU

AlphaU is a social skills class designed for older teens and young adults (ages 16+) to meet together to learn and gain confidence through social activities and engaging in comprehensive lesson plans.

Alpha U is a comprehensive social skills class. Lesson Plans include group discussion, games, and activities tailored to age-appropriate skill levels. The focus of this class is to learn relationship-building, problem-solving, and executive functioning skills. The program develops skills and strategies for social communication, self-regulation, and social awareness. Alpha U is a great opportunity to enjoy fun activities while building confidence and friendships.

Criteria: Participants of all abilities, open to the public, demonstrating social skills covered in Teen Kinect (joint attention, self-awareness, emotional regulation)

Goals: Relationship building, problem-solving, self-regulation, and executive functioning skills

Outcomes: Confidence, Friendships

Duration: 12 weeks
