Visual Awareness
This instructor-led, group-based course teaches how visual information is organized and interpreted in everyday environments, giving participants insight into why visual details are sometimes not processed or are missed. Topics include visual cues, common signage, spatial layout, and basic wayfinding principles such as landmarks and pathways. Through structured lessons, group discussion, and applied observation, participants practice identifying visual information and following directional cues within a space. Offered in a semester-based format, this course aims to help participants gain new ways to notice and interpret the visual world around them.
